Figured I'd kick it off with a photo!
This was such an awesome thing to be allowed to shoot. These cars are just beyond amazing!!
Now my favourite is the 3.8L Twin Turbo V8 with electric ECU motor.... The McLaren P1. It just looks incredible and the sound of the spooling turbos sets your heart a flutter (get it ;) haha)
The 918 with the naturally aspirated 4.6L V8 with it's two electric motors has grown on me SO MUCH! I watched the programme Supercar Superbuild, about this car - as well as speaking to owners & people who helped develop the car, it's all just really made me kind of fall in love with it.
Then we have the Italian Stallion - LaFerrari, with it's great big 6.3L
V12, electric motor & KERS system (HY-KERS.) Now this is the
"marmite" hypercar - you either love it or hate it. I'm in the middle,
it's not my favourite but it's not the worst car ever.
Now the
lucky man that owns these, Mr Paul Bailey, is so knowledgeable on these
cars and shows such passion for them. His favourite is the LaFerrari, he
didn't get out of it for longer than 5 minutes for a coffee in the
several hours we were there. He just wanted to drive!!
The
purpose of the cars being at Silverstone wasn't to see which was fastest
or anything. It was so people could experience being driven round the
circuit in the cars for a few laps.
Hopefully I'll be back again soon for more fun shooting these bad boys!

I haven't blogged since April 1st... This is bad!
WOW so the last thing I blogged about was Geneva, way after the actual event!
With the start of car show season upon us, everything is quite hectic right now. Since my last blog on the 1st of April I have...
- shot Paul Bailey's 3 hypercars at Silverstone
- had 25 R35 GTR's from Battalion30five to shoot
- attended Piazza Italia in Horsham
- went to Brooklands for Auto Italia with Lamborghini Club UK
- had hospitality access at Brands Hatch to watch Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo participate in the Blancpain GT Sprint Series with LCUK
and spent the day at Supercar Siege in Kent.
I've realised I am incredibly lucky to get to shoot all this stuff, but I want to make my passion become my career - I'm just lacking on the business sense ;)
Anyway I shall get my posts about each event I've attended started right now whilst I'm in the zone.
